Protection for Debit Card Customers
First Farmers State Bank is taking proactive measures to protect our debit card customers. The security of your financial information is of the utmost importance to us. The incidence of debit card fraud continues to increase. Many other institutions throughout the United States have recently reported similar increases in fraud activity.
At present, for your protection and based upon the high fraud activity, we are blocking the following:
· All debit card transactions in the country of Spain
· Pay at pump transactions used as credit/signature based in the states of Florida, Georgia and North Carolina. If your debit card is used with a PIN, there is no block.
For your additional protection, we strongly suggest that whenever you use your debit card for a pay at pump transaction, you use it with a PIN. Additionally, for your account protection, please call us when you plan to travel outside the U.S. with a list of countries you intend to visit and when you will return to the U.S.
