Fraud and Security Alerts
As of April 27, 2010:
First Farmers received several calls today from customers alerting us to a scam that is circulating. The customers said that they received a call on their cell phone from an unknown caller stating that their debit card was being blocked by the bank and they needed to provide additional information to be unblocked. Fortunately, these customers hung up.
This is a scam. First Farmers will never call our customers to verify account information. Never provide this information. Hang up. If you want to call us back at our published phone number, you may certainly do so. We will verify that we did not attempt to contact you.
