FIRST FARMERS STATE BANK RECOGNIZED AS A TOP AGRICULTURE LENDER IN NATION

Local Community Bank Ranked #13 in the Nation and #2 in Illinois

[BLOOMINGTON, IL, July 22, 2020] First Farmers State Bank was recently announced on the Top
Lenders List of 2020 by The Independent Community Bankers of America. They excelled in the
Agriculture division at #13 in the nation and #2 in Illinois. First Farmers State Bank’s recognition is based
on the strength of its competitive banking services and its operational efficiencies throughout 2019.

“It is an honor to receive this recognition. It is a tribute to the hard-working and committed employees of
First Farmers State Bank. We take pride in serving all types of customers, but our roots run deep in the
Agricultural sector.“ said Brian Schroeder, President & CEO at First Farmers State Bank.

Using FDIC data for 2019, the ICBA calculated a lender score out of 100 for each community bank. First
Farmers State Bank was awarded an impressive 92.7 out of 100. The score combines the average of the
bank’s percentile rank for lending concentration, loan growth over the past year, and adjusted for loan
charge-offs in each category.

“Through innovation, resourcefulness and an unwavering commitment to their customers and
communities, these top lenders are creating a culture of success,” ICBA President and CEO Rebeca
Romero Rainey said. “ICBA is proud to recognize First Farmers State Bank and its staff for their
outstanding efforts and wish them continued prosperity.”

Ed Avis with Independent Banker stated “There’s no doubt that 2019 looked very different than 2020 in all
areas of life, and community banking was no exception. But our top lenders’ exceptional performance last
year has set them up for success even in a time of turmoil.” With more than 50,000 locations nationwide,
community banks constitute 99 percent of all banks, employ nearly 750,000 Americans and are the only
physical banking presence in one in three U.S. counties.
